The Geneva Motor Show has come and gone, but we can’t stop talking about the new Mazda compact crossover. Dubbed the Mazda CX-30, the new crossover combines elegant styling with the luxury drivers expect from the Japanese automaker. The all-new Mazda CX-30 will slot between the CX-3 and CX-5 crossovers.
An intuitive cabin features seating for four adults. Premium materials and amenities reassure consumers that this isn’t a cheap crossover by any means. Like other crossovers, the new Mazda compact crossover features a higher ride height for improved visibility. The streamlined body makes it easier to navigate through crowded urban areas.
“We designed the CX-30 to be an essential partner in the customer’s daily life,” said Akira Marumoto, the brand’s representative director, president, and CEO.
Inside, the Mazda CX-30 features an infotainment screen tilted toward the driver. The dashboard design wraps around the doors to give passengers a better sense of security. The level beltline results in windows that are the same height in front and back.
The new Mazda compact crossover follows the KODO – Soul of Motion design language. It’s the second vehicle to do so, and all future Mazda vehicles will see similar cues. The new Mazda CX-30 will make its initial debut in Europe before making its way to the global market.
